Rained today so no dog park visit, instead we thought we’d take him for
a walk! To the new pet store that opened up nearby! On an empty stomach!
So clearly this was not super well-thought out and Chompsky was REALLY
easily distracted by all the food smells at the store. He’d do tricks
for us (sit, lie down) but as soon as he WASN’T doing a trick he was
trying to sniff and grab stuff off the shelf.
We got a new mat (one for the office!) some dog treats that need chewing
(we’ll try those when someone comes over: it’s a high-value treat
that’ll keep him busy and hopefully let him calm down some) and a new
toy that’s mostly two giant squeakers which he really seems to enjoy.
